I can't let almost a month go by without a post! Criminal!

I've been a bogged down with work, but I wanted to post a website mascot that I just finished as it counts as an illustration and proves that I haven't forsaken my wacom.

I'm almost finished with the prize for my subscriber contest winner, and that one has a video! Fun fun.

I've been a little backed up on the art front, but I finally managed to make the real-time tutorial video for the Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Pen Tool. I demonstrate a couple of methods to ink linework using the pen tool as well as the function of the anchors, handles and control lines that influence the bézier curve.

I'm getting a little invested in the ABC "V" remake and it's mostly because of Morena Baccarin's Anna. I always thought she was cute in Firefly, but then she cut her hair and notched herself up in my estimation. Now we can bask in the glory that is her neck!

Well, we'll file this one under "Epic Fail" as far as likeness is concerned. I was trying to combine the face and hair from a couple of different references in my previous rough sketch, but that wasn't working at all. For a while this was looking like Cynthia Nixon's lesbian lover, so I'm glad I worked out that particular kink.

Trying to squeeze this one under the wire in its extremely rough state. It's eventually going to be Em from Drawingboard.org. At the moment...well, not so much. This gives a pretty good idea of how I rough sketch these sorts of things in a couple of minutes for what it's worth.
